hello and welcome to my teenie, tiny, insignificant pinpoint of meaningless, yet grateful, existence on the internet. i just got here, and i love this place already.

i am lucky that i was able to join the internet back in .:*the day*:. (the early 90's), and i have fond memories of geocities, angelfire, online forums, and when aol released instant messaging back in 1997. i was just a kid then, and exploring the web felt like a completely new frontier, full of endless possibilities for shared experience and connection. even back then i felt it deep in my bones, and for a long time, it continued to feel like that every time i connected to the internet. i think that was the best part about exploring the web 1.0.

in my early years, none of my friends knew much about the web (or had much interest in it), so my time on the internet felt like a very personal journey, one i explored on my own. but when i disconnected, i often felt lonely, without anyone to gush about it with, and felt isolated from other people around me who didn’t understand. maybe that’s what i feel like remedying here: reigniting that part of me that has been dormant since then... cultivate kindling, and seeing where the trail of flames takes me again. maybe i'll make some new friends along the way.

this site was created on august 28, 2025 with many thanks to my internet-wizard partner who made the coding much faster. i hope to build on this site over time, and make it enjoyable to explore. maybe i’ll throw in some hidden surprises, to ignite that flame in you as well.
